Priorities for Sustainable Design, Part 2 - Species and Habitat Loss

This is part of a lecture on Priorities for Sustainable Design, for the Collaborative Product Design class at Minneapolis College of Art and Design's sustainable design online certificate program. Since no one has infinite time and money, we need to know where our efforts can do the most good. This lecture only addresses environmental issues, not social ones, because I wanted to use strictly quantitative measures as the basis for prioritization, and in my opinion social issues do not yet have enough quantified metrics that are widely agreed upon in industry and academia.
