There was also a lack of depth and character: No names *whatsoever* are given, like THEY are the hive-minds and not the Shivans. Surely there would be some kind of hierarchy in the 'Ancients' pantheon, don't you think? Not to mention names given to their young. As mods go, this one needs to be re-done with better FREDing and writing. It was rather dull in my opinion. Music was okay. Then again it was all taken from Sword of the Stars so they get no credit there either.

I think of the Shivan fleet in FS1 to be like Subotai's army in the middle east, Caucasus and Russia: a reconnaissance in force. Even for all they managed to do against the Terrans and Vasuvians, they were just testing the waters.

@crazy88bossLOLthere plenty of Sci Fi out there that have inconsistencies look at Star Trek and Star Gate. manly star trek. Theres a theory that the first fleet in FS1 was just a scout fleet... or a fleet discounted from the rest of the shivans... I vote more on Discounted that would explain the fleet that was in FS1. Anyways Like anything there always someone that not going to like something that other people like. LikeCoD it big hit allot people like that game i think boring and waste of money

@Dredhawk10 I understand the Ancients' POV, but I think most people notice poor grammar. I have to disagree: I think the mod was done by English speakers. If I remember correctly, the introduction has Vasudan backgraound voices and English 'translations' overlapping so no, they were English. I also don't like the background details; if the Shivans had Moloch-class corvettes 8000 years ago then why in the world wouldn't they have used them in The Great War? Too many inconsistencies, friend.

@crazy88boss Well for one thing it from the Ancients point view you expect them to know English lol.

I dont pay mind to stuff like that my Grammar not good nether is my sentience structure. Ithink the people that made the Mod were Russian or German or something im not sure so that would explain the Grammar errors. Offer all i thot i was good the alone problem i have i wish they wound finish it.

Really don't like this mod. Technically it's spectacular, especially the end mission with the galaxy in the background. The writing, on the other hand, is dreadful. At one point your wingmen are referred to as "battle brothers and sisters". -.-'

I also counted numerous grammar errors and, while they might seem trivial, they are not something you should see in a polished FS Open campaign. It's just sloppy.
