Akio Tamashiro Kanku Sho World Championships WKF 2004

En el campeonato mundial WKF 2004. Akio Tamashiro de Perú ocupó el 2do lugar en kata escoltando a Luca Valdesi de Italia,Tamashiro es el mejor exponente de Karate Shotokan en el Perú en la actualidad,aqui ejecuta Kanku Sho.
El karate peruano tiene un nivel muy alto en la especialidad de kata.

No siempre es posible para un deportista sudamericano llegar a disputar un campeonato mundial con un europeo o un japonés , un gran mérito para este chico peruano que sin apoyo estatal ha hecho conocer la tradición del kata peruano en America.

El dia de hoy Viernes 13 de Octubre de 2006 en Tampere Finnlandia, Akio Tamashiro de Perú ocupo el tercer lugar en kata individual en el campeonato mundial WKF.

Tamashiro's kata was better than Valdesi's. He had proper kime and timing.

In 1654 when an Okinawan karate disciple wanted to remember applications he saw or envisioned and developed his own kata, do you think he cared about a tournament grading system? I think he viewed the kata on whether the techniques were executed like a fight or not. Martial arts are systems of combat skills and karate is a martial art. Did you ever wonder where all this tournament junk came from? Ever wonder if it was not karate at all?

Creo que sensei Tamashiro hace mucho mejor que Luca Valdesi, que Valdesi gane torneos solo muestra el poder factico de los italianos en el karate WKF. Luca Valdesi se golpea a el mismo para demostrar kime y la velocidad que tiene es increíble, por desgracia no termina los movimientos y rompe el bunkai de los kata para poder lucir su elongación. Me gusta muchísimo mas el kata de sensei Akio Tamashiro.

I see that Valdesi here has gotten gold again. I actually like this performance much better. Valdesi may be a bit faster, but this guy had much cleaner technique and completed all the stances (no half moves).

Sensei Tamashiro, sigue siendo uno de mis preferidos. Su versiòn de esta kata me parece la mejor. El segundo lugar no significa nada para las artes marciales!!!
