Last, for anyone who's read down this far: I am not inferring any acceptance of female oppression or servitude. These were the images that occurred to my mind putting this together, influenced only by my own thoughts and feelings, not Miss Scattergood's. To me, the nikab and the veil can be seen as symbols of strength and protection, not abuse, and such is my intention in using them here.
