@84eugenie Thanks. But you should hear it in real life played through a high quality sound system, then I think you would think differently. Youtube doesn't do it justice soundwise. Yes, it's digital like almost anything else nowadays, but digital doesn't necessary have to be bad, does it? It's become common among many guitarists to regard anything that's digital badly, but there are constant development of new and better products. Personally I like this unit better than any old tube amp..

@rednebb Thank you Ketil, the bends on the Floyd excerpts are unbelievable... and done on 10's, wow!
Yikes, this is all so good. But the Carlos Santana is about as unconvincing (tone-wise) as I've ever heard. The playing is awesome, but it doesn't have that fat saturated tone that I was expecting.

@poneyboy23 Thanks! Well, maybe I wasn't so lucky with that one, although at the time it seemed like I was pretty close.. But in the end, I guess the main part of a guitarists' sound comes from his/her fingers and soul, so it's hard to copy this even if you have the best guitar gear in the world.. ;-)

@rednebb I'm just a wanna be - please realize that. I'm totally amazed at your playing, simply wonderful. I understand that one can tweak that system down to the very detailed level, so I would imagine that it's all in one's patience and willingness to endlessly tweak. But then, do you really want to be a carbon copy?
Do you feel that the Axe is a true replacement of your good tube amps, or is it just a really really good sounding emulator? Can you hear the difference?

@poneyboy23 ;-) Thanks again! To some guitarists, tube amps are and always will be, the only "real thing", but I think that more and more guitarists, including me, are realizing that products like the Axe-Fx eliminate the need for tube amps and the hassle that comes with them.. I haven't A/B tested the Axe-Fx next to a tube amp myself (I've sold mine..), but with the great presets and a little bit of tweaking, I'm sure you could make the Axe-Fx sound almost identical to any amp in the world..

Every time I get frustrated with my Axe-FX standard, I come and watch this video. It reminds me that it's my own human error, and not the "digital sound" that I trick myself into hearing.
I think a lot of people need to remember that it sounds as good or better than a recorded amp, not necessarily an amp in the room! Great stuff
