From the 1930 Motion Picture "The Big Pond" here is Bernie Cummins and his New Yorker Hotel Orchestra. The Phonograph is a Brunswick Panatrope Model 15-8 from 1926.

  • of course, not a problem. I play the later stuff on mine. I usually drop back to a soft tone or medium tone needle of course.  Just remember to change the steel needle at least after every other play and there should be no problem.

  • Great version of this, but I have the one with Maurice Chevalier which adds the lyrics "I go swimmin with pretty women, and I think life is divine!" BTW, are you Andy Senior who puts on a great radio program on Live 365 called Radiola?

  • Yes, Tiny was a great Music Historian, specializing in the real early days, the first 3 decades of the Twentieth Century. He used to mention many of the great early stars during some of his performances. He was also a true gentleman.

    I played a few Glenn Miller stuff and they sounded very nice on it

  • i prefer this panatrope's reproduction over the orthophonic victrola...fuller and richer sound. i'll soon have one...model 14-7. yours is most lovely.
