  • is Obama a Godspell fan?

  • it's acutally used instead of the day-by-day reprise in most productions. we have both we beseech thee AND beautiful city in ours =]

  • Beautiful!

  • Other than the finale, this was my favorite song in the movie; We Beseech Thee was my favorite stage song (other than the finale of course)

  • thank you very much!! yeah no beautiful city *sobs like a baby* lol and we also didn't do Tower Of Babble, which kind of upset me too, even tho its a wierd song, i still really like it. :) thanks again.

  • Hey I just checked out your vids - no posting of Beautiful City??? *cries*

Looks like you guys had a great time with the show and you make an awesome Jesus 8))!

  • yeah, I've seen so many different things done with godspell, its so crazy (in a good way) but yeah pretty much anything your mind comes up with, you can incorporate into the show. :)

  • I sure will 8))

I agree actually - I saw the film when it was first released (yes I am that old LOL) - and just fell in love with Beautiful City. It would be very interesting to see how stage productions use it having been reading about the production's evolution since it seems to be quite a popular thing to do 8))

  • oh yeah I knew all that already :), but it'd still be nice if most productions included it, although I'd glady take "we beseech thee" over this, i still thinks its a beautiful song! btw you can check some g-spell vids form teh production i was in on prof if you want! :)

  • "Beautiful City" was never a part of the original show; it was written for the film as a replacement for "We Beseech Thee" since the director did not like that song (get him!). Awesome song though indeed 8)
