Ricky Romero warms up during an October 12 Arizona Fall League game between the Scottsdale Scorpions and the Phoenix Desert Dogs. Romero was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays with their first round pick (6th overall) in the First-Year Player Draft out of Cal State Fullerton. Romero started 18 games in 2007, going 3-6 with a 4.89 earned run average for the Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats of the Eastern League. The southpaw struck out 80 batters in 88 and 1/3 innings.

  • @mrwonderfulman2011 Yes, clearly it is Romero's fault for losing multiple games when only allowing 1-3 runs (accounts for over half his losses). The "great hitting" Blue Jays should take no part of the responsibility for giving him no run support, it's the pitchers job to pitch a shutout every time he walks up to the mound, and to hope that his club drives in a single run in the 10th inning or so. You're retarded, good luck with that.
