Cleverly-named litter box product ACTUALLY hawked on late-night TV commercials way back in the early 90s.

  • Is it Catch IT or CatchSHIT ??

  • Or CatSHIT, perhaps?

The folks who made the commercial want you to hear exactly what you think you heard. :D

  • We love your video. Thats why we featured it today on POPTUB. Stop by our channel and check it out!

  • You did? Coulda fooled me. :(

  • lol I remember this one. I wonder if they intended the double entendre?

  • I'm pretty sure it was intentional. Plus, this thing only ever seemed to air in the wee hours of the morning, where they probably figured no one would notice anyways! ;)

  • Thank You, TVTropes

  • I remember this! Not the announcer's funny lisp though.

  • I definitely saw a commerccial for this once during the Lawrence Welk Show (probably the Canadian version others have mentioned since that announcer was definitely female)

  • Remember, Catch It stays in your litter box!

  • "No more treasure hunting or wondering where to store your dirty spoon" :D

  • Catch it is not sold in stores.

    Yeah, seriously.

  • You keep Cat Shit in your litter box!

  • There was a different version that aired in Canada. It had a voiceover by Dini Petty, a veteran Canadian newswoman, who, at that time, had her own talkshow on the CTV network.

The commercial aired in Canada for about 3 weeks before it was yanked, probably in response to complaints from people who were offended by the double entendres.

  • In Canada, we had a slightly different version of this commercial. The visuals were the same, but the voiceover was by Dini Petty (a veteran Canadian newswoman, who, at the time, had her own daytime talkshow on the CTV network), and the music was mellow elevator muzak. I remember being doubled over with laughter whenever I heard this commercial during the 3 weeks or so that it aired before being abruptly yanked, probably in response to complaints from offended viewers with no sense of humour.

  • Moar liek "Shitting and Handling", amirite?
