Here is Part 1 of the more in depth look at my computer room. I just go over all of the equipment and what it does. I will be getting Part 2, 3, and if needed part 4 uploaded before Monday.

  • Would have been better to wall mount the patch panel with the cables from the ceiling cables punched into it, then patches from the wall patch to the switch via the service elbows. Right now you have to cut or unpunch the cables to move the rack. Otherwise a nice setup.

  • If I had enough room I would have mounted the patch panel on the wall. I left enough slack in the ceiling so that I can move the cabinet.

  • This kind of setup is useful for learning how to do shit without trashing someone's company network.

  • @maddogg360 Why not? :)

  • It is very silent in there. Does anyone sleep next to that room?

  • That is in your house? how much PC's is it connected to?

  • Why are you running a class A ip addressing scheme?

  • What is the model of the Romeo Router?

  • you said you don't make any money from this stuff

If you don't mind me asking, why do you have it then?
