I like it man. I would do that but my grandmother would kill me to see that I did that to the car she loved for 28 years and then sold to me. Where in Texas are you?
-
@TheConradChannel Wouldn't you also try to advance the injection timing, it would have a faster pickup. But on the ALDA screw if he turned more than twice. It's just a waste of unburnt fuel...
-
@DranoBombCo this smokes because he increased the fuel
-
looks like you need to a diesel purge, my opa and i did that to our 300SDL and she didnt smoke at all after...
-
@bmkny I usually drive mine at 25mph till the temperature reaches 80 then I speed up. My father used to do that and his 40 year old car still runs new. In your car it's worth to rebuild the engine and fix the problems then do a MAACO paint and keep the car. These cars last up to 3,000,000 miles with proper care. There's a cheap 240D taxi in greece with 2.8 mil miles.

NICE Michellin hydroedges.. Great tires man we've got those on most of our mercedes' too
-
@bmkny well in that case, the engine still is fine. I think its just the reving up which would naturally vent out much smoke. But all things equal, the engine is still good. thanks

my 300sdl turbo sounds like a mustang.

Just adde stacks. lol

@beaman220 one could only hope it would!
Sounds sooooo freakin' good! Somewhat Cummins like at idle with the straight pipe, IMO.

@SakoTGrimes The 300SDL has the OM603 inline 6 3.0 liter turbodiesel.

did you do any turbo work or is that really just a straight pipe? did you notice a performance increase at all? sounds great! i love that you can actually hear the turbo
!!

@mazdawg89 No turbo work... just turned up the pre-boost fueling by unscrewing the ALDA a bit. It did improve acceleration probably by around 10%, minimal, but noticeable.
