My goodness, at 1:16 I got cold chills. That tears me up. I get a totally different vibe out of it. You can call me crazy but where I come from this sounds like the fiddle method. It sounds like Django Reinhart's man Stéphane Grappelli laying into it. Thanks for another great post

It's said he was influenced by Louis Armstrong. Who wouldn't be, of course... but he seems to have a horn-like conception of the harp. What a wonderful player.

He had it going on at the time or he wouldn't be recorded. Maybe he was forgotten because his style harkens to a pre-1940 jazz era. He sounds more like a "Mississippi Clarinet." Anyway, he's very good. Hope many more people listen to this.
What happened to the CD of his stuff relased a couple of years back? I've only recently become aware of this guy but I can't find the CD anywhere.
