  • "I'm not excusing myself from this either. I will have someone play me, to delve into the murky, cowardly depths of my lonely, fucked-up being."

  • I am surprised this does not include the scene where the father wrongfully admits to the absence from his daughter Olive's life as being his fault just to give her peace in her anger on her deathbed. One of the most indelible heartbreaking scenes in a movie I have ever seen or likely ever will.

  • The Pastor's Speech makes me want to find others who see so much of their own lives in his words....like I do. Who are you and are you there?

  • You missed the part where olive died. And the bit where he's like "SHE'S A FUCKING FOUR YEAR OLD!!!"

  • I don't think i'll ever be able to watch this film and not cry. More to the point, the Pastors Speech gets me every single time, without sounding too pretentious, it was one of the first times someone said something that truly connected with everything I think. Stunning film, stunning dialogue.

  • i hate maria

  • @42976675 Yes. I cried.

  • Olive describing how she "has to die" and then lays down on the floor in the airport just kills me every time.

  • "there is no one watching. and there never was "

    nice compilation ..
