I don't know what planet you've been on the past 15 years, but Goerke has always been big. And she's not going to damage her voice so philistines like yourself have something pretty to look at.

Wow... Her tone is full and rich throughout her register with a terrific line. Why can't we produce some dramatic tenors of this caliber?????

I'm trying to think of any other Eboli who actually makes "Je te maudis" sound like a curse at herself, and I can't. Goose-bumps every time Goerke comes off that high C-flat here, such heartbreaking rage and pain.

Yuck! Ana de Mendoza, princesa de Eboli had two characteristics:

1. She was slim and beautiful.

2. She was one-eyed, having lost her left eye at a mock dual at the age of 14.

The present singer does not mimic the real princesa's characteristics too well.

And if you think this is obese, you probably need to get out more. Goerke is pretty much a penthouse model compared to most people who sing Elektra and Chrysothemis.
