if the production had complied faithfully the plot of the book, the film is expected to last 20 hours. you all should be realistic...

@charlo427 There were times when the production staff didn't want what really happened in the book. That's what one of the producers of Count of Monte Cristo (the Jim Caviezel one). He said that nobody wants Mercedes to die or live in solitude, so they changed the plot and that's what happened with the film. Even in Harry Potter movies. I didn't even liked how the fourth one came out, coz the maze part of the plot isn't as exciting as the book.

@Kelly14UK Yeah I agree with you.. I noticed that too. He made the right choice. Otherwise, he probably would've ended up on that gang. Plus, he's a great cook, so with Dantes he has the freedom to showcase his talents--maybe even developed it to another level. And he won't get the chance to freely climb up on the carriage and look for chicks if he hadn't chosen Dantes. :)

@gwaladrielle i dont understand why they wasted their times to do these non very good films when they could have done one so much better if only they got the correct acters to do the job and did what happened in teh book
