Not as loud as it is from the outside, but yes, they do. I am sadly very rare on a Taurus, but when I am, than I will film this and put it here, so you can hear it.

There is, honestly...it's german bits and pieces but final assembly takes place at Linz

No way, never. There is no know-how for this in austria.

You should find it was built by OeBB at their workshops in Linz as sub-contractors to Siemens - to free-up workshop space at Krefeld and to keep costs down - parts were manufactured at Krefeld, then assembled at Linz
