An Austrian Railways (Österreichische Bundesbahn - ÖBB) 'Taurus' electric leaves Rosenheim (southern Germany) with a rake of FS (Italian Railways) 'Eurofima' coaches from München (Munich) to Milano (Milan), 'playing the scales' as she goes!

  • The Taurus is the best loco I've ever driven. Even the sound when they start to drive is like music in my ear ;)

    5/5*

  • They sound just as nice inside then?

  • Not as loud as it is from the outside, but yes, they do. I am sadly very rare on a Taurus, but when I am, than I will film this and put it here, so you can hear it.

  • Thanks - just leave it as a Video Response or similar.

  • Nice sound and impressive acceleration

  • bes nice sounds train

  • There is, honestly...it's german bits and pieces but final assembly takes place at Linz

  • No way, never. There is no know-how for this in austria.

  • You should find it was built by OeBB at their workshops in Linz as sub-contractors to Siemens - to free-up workshop space at Krefeld and to keep costs down - parts were manufactured at Krefeld, then assembled at Linz

  • No. Build by SIEMNES in germany.
