From a group of mostly foster greyhounds we had in our home during the spring of 2010 - these clips offer a glimpse of our high-energy sunrise routine. I shot all this over the course of a week so the shadows and light would not change much.
Sweet, playful, sensitive, loving and somewhat excitable - retired greyhounds are great dogs. They don't need to run like this all the time - after a few minutes of this they will sleep all day.
Greyhounds don't usually have to wear muzzles when playing, but when I'm running a big group I like to be careful.
I was set on the song 'Over The Hills And Far Away' originally performed by Led Zeppelin. I was fortunate to find the very talented Neil Smith (http://neil-smith.com) via craigslist.org who performed an acoustic version that was spot-on.
Family greyhound Monterey starred in this video (she's the cappuccino brindle), along with her foster brothers and sisters Beignet, Hope, Race and Flag.
