Paul McCartney London signing wristband queue

This is a clip from the news report on London Today. I queued for 14 hours over noght to get a wirstband to meet Paul McCartney. I am the second fan to speak wearing a Beatles wooly hat, looking very grotty!!!

I started queuing at 7-20pm the evening before, I was 2ndin line. The first person in the queue arrived 20 mins before me. Wristbands were given out at 8am next morning. Fans arrived at 6am on the morning they were given out & still got one.

On the day of the signing they had some left. My boyfriend was offered one by HMV whilst I was inside meeting Paul!!!!

I always camp out the night before and have always got in to meet Paul.

I waited outside Air Studios in 1983 (I think) to meet him, and did so. He chatted and signed the back of a cheque for me, which I have since lost! He had just finished shooting the Pipes of Peace video, so he had a really short haircut. Glad people like you are still prepared to spend your lives doing things like this!!

How many days before the signing was the line for getting a wristband? I would do this in a heartbeat... but I would be flying from the United States unless he does one in New York again first.
