From the genius of Brian Wilson. The object is the moon through the trees outside my window.

  • Thank you photo 2010. Joyful tears!

  • @lakefloor You're welcome!

  • I love this song so much. This and Surfs Up have to be my favourite songs of all time. You can really sense what Brian was going through at the time. I think his last truloy great tune, (not to say he hasn't done great songs after this).

    Great video. Thankyou

  • You're welcome, and thank you! :)

  • Thank you photo2010 and thank you Brian Wilson for squeezing out all this art and for sharing your softness, wisdom, vision, innocence, and music with us!

  • Very kind, thank you!

  • The unbearable bleakness of the lyric is miraculously transformed by the sublime melody such that the resulting whole is irresistible and transporting. This must have come to Brian Wilson as the resolution of an unimaginable time of suffering, and it's incredible that he was able to grasp it and offer it to the world.

  • A forgotten treasure. A truly spiritually filled song from a musical genius.

  • I 'used to think I knew a little about music' until I ran across a CD at Library, Beach Boys Songs Selected by Brian Wilson. I played it over and over but especially 'Til I die' , Caroline No, Warmth Of The Sun, then you have to go back and revisit these songs you think you knew, Brian Wilson is a Savant Genius!

  • Just a great song, considering the source: WHY NOT?

  • So love this.

  • Once again, Brian welds the spiritual with the romantic. He weaves them together to bring the listener into a trance. It does it to me every time. He was a local treasure from Hawthorne, Ca., just down the street from me. Sometimes you just don't know where the next world class genious may come from. He or she just might be living right next door.

  • Pretty much time i got into beach boys was watching this terrific documentary by Don Was on Brian Wilson called "I just wasn't made for these times" Wilson talked about the song and about the worry that the Devil would take his soul and how vulnerable he felt at the time Very profound stuff.

  • oh my God! You are so right! It is this song and Surf's Up for me as well. This definately penetrates deep within like a warm blanket around your soul. Brian created the most beautiful song about such a humble awareness. I could just die listening to it.
