www.SLMNEWS.com 'Why I Love My State and South' So often we are chastised, condemned, abused and kicked around. This is my answer to all that. And it's not addressed to our enemies - but rather to our own people. We are a nation, a people, a culture. And we deserve by right to be free and self-governing. Which we aren't at present. It's time to stand up as the people that we once were - the people that we still truly are - and cast off Federal rule. It's time for Southron self-determination.

Some people take longer to see what's before them than others. That's ok. The majority of our people will come around. Conditions are forcing them too. The assualt on our rights and culture is just too great. And as a part of this empire we have no real recourse.

Thanks so much for sharing your love for your wonderful State and its people. Although I am Canadian born my roots are Southern (Alabama).

My folks were sharecroppers and fought for the South not to protect slavery but to defend their Nation and State.

i drove up from key west to my town in new york and thought, "man what a beautiful country we have down south!" seeing: FL, GA, SC, NC, TN, VA, and WV.

and after getting into PA, i thought it wasnt anything special at all. and i really hate it in the north, everyone is so rude and nobody is close with eachother like they are down south or out west. im not proud of my state of new york, it blows here

but go out west, and you will see more prime beauty of the country
