"June 2004 - Steele Heads were rockin' and riding to Pollution-free music at the Steele Park Music Festival & Inflatable Rodeo.
It's hard to believe it's been 10 years since the first Steele Park Music Festival. This live music event, featuring a wacky inflatable rodeo, has been a private event for years. The 1 day camping event featured live music from ALO, ThaMuseMeant, and Kipchoge the ginger ninja.
What the heck is an inflatable rodeo? This is light-hearted dolphin bucking event where goof-ball competitors springboard off a boat dock and attempt to land and ride an inflatable dolphin. Rodeo riders were judged on style and length of their ride. In a stunning upset over Jewish Jordan, "Pauli" is the current trophy holder.
This year's event utilized Sustainable Waves-solar powered sound & stage. The event will also proudly featured New Belgium Brewery as our beer sponsor. Not only does the brewery run on wind power, but there cups are biodegrable reducing the amount of waste that will go into a landfill."
