Moving at 40 mph, unprecedented footage of tigers tackling an ostrich in Africa. Previously, only cheetahs were thought to be able to attain speeds at up to 40 mph.

  • I'm confused. Was this on some kind of game reserve, because tigers do not live in Africa and Ostrichs do.

  • They were zoo tigers being retrained by a profession to uncover their hunter instincts.

  • @robertrka Don't worry, they're just training the tigers to be released in their native India.

  • Those are Dave salmoni's tigers. The man who speaks is Dave Salmoni, he's training his tigers in africa, where he lives, he trains them lo liberate them in india.

  • @misterclownface you r right ,even i have heard the same story

  • this really disturbs me because what i believe has happen, When you introduce another species on to another continent? What you have here is a cat, that is as powerful as a Lion, and can move "somewhat as fast as a cheetah? This is a disturbance of "balance" concerning the food chain. Tigers belong in their native habitat. Lions don`t hunt like that.

  • This is from "Living with Tigers" doc. The project has been proven to be a fraud in 2004. The tigers are unable to hunt, and the film crew chased the prey up against the fence and into the path of the tigers just for the sake of dramatic footage.

The tigers have not been released, and still reside in a small enclosure under constant watch and with frequent human contact. The Discovery documentary contains footage that its maker, John Varty, has admitted on affidavit to be false.

  • I though ostrich's buried their heads when in danger :)

  • lol ya tigers would beast africa lol that would b crazy and unfair to tigers lol
