  • This fire burnt from Ramona, west to RSF (30 miles), then back east for 60 miles...destroying 2,500 homes, an entire national forest, and kiling 15 people...ALL in San Diego County....AND all caused by ONE inexperienced "deer hunter". Since then, no hunting is allowed during times of drought.

  • Oh dear Lord, I remember these fires. It rained ash where I lived, no one could go outside, we were all packing to leave.

  • no the fire you are talking about was in Elfin Forest right behind Lake Hodges. here was never a fire in Fairbanks what are u guys talkign about?

  • 1996 or 1997 rancho santa fe went through another fire. The fire that happen then started east of elephant forest.
