The director of the new muppet movie said it will be like the old fashion muppets,bringing back the muppet theater & muppets we have'nt seen for 30 years.i cant wait.this special,the special"of muppets & men",all sam & friends episodes,and all muppet commercials should be on the next 2 dvds of the muppet show.there sure taking a while dangit.

"Novelty act" isn't THE word for it, more like "just another one of their franchises". I don't hate Disney as much as you might(Viacom's much worse at times), but yeah they should realize the true extent of their legacy.

50th anniversary? DVD releases.. lame Tv specials... lame, lame, lame
wish disney would realize that they the muppet family is not a novelty act. the magic was in treating the muppets as they would any other group of entertainers
