The Nasty Girl (1990) aka Das schreckliche Mädchen

Sonya (Lena Stolze), is a German high school student who decides to write an essay about her town's history during the Third Reich and its resistance to it.
To her dismay, and more so the town's, she uncovers instead definite collaboration during the period.
As she digs deeper, she must struggle against the town's vocal and violent opposition to her search for the truth.

I have checked what else she has been in - I note she played Sophie Scholl in "The White Rose" and ALSO in "Fünf Letzte Tage".

The explanation of Bavaria - its staunchly conservative "Christian Socialistics" who are not from the (Communist) Democratic Republic - at 22:57 is a classic.

And there's Ottfried Fischer before his Father Brown days at 25:24 making mucky pictures with deutschmarks!

I've not seen this film for years and years! I think a better title would have been "That Awful Girl" or something...
