  • @bandslater That is interesting. Had VW offered the 6 cylinder in the States in the '60s or '70s the Transporter I think would have blown the socks off everyone!

  • @1foxtrot70 i think they offered a 6 cylinder version but they are rare and only sold in south africa i think.

  • I am a Yank that luvs to see good craftmanship and You have completed some nice work! Hats off to you. Finally a VW van that has some balls! I could never understand why VW never offered a 6 cylinder engine in this model, it has always been so woefully under powered. Great Work!

  • Saw this at work today. It's fucking awesome.

  • I'm getting ready to do this to my T3. I need to find some parts though. Could you tell me where you did your shopping? I need intake, flywheel, starter, coolant plumbing, and exhaust. Thanks!

  • I know you probably got tons of emails for this video but...

I'm having some difficulties with my T3, instead of driving me around it drives me nuts. Meaning - 0-60 in minutes not seconds, fuel consumption comparable to Boeing 747 etc...

I hear lots of positive feedback on Subaru conversion on t3. I wonder if you could help me with some info - who to turn to for this kind of work, what to do, how to do it, are there any proffessional workshops that provide work, parts for the conversion etc

  • very nice, hats off to ya fore even taking on such a daunting project let alone finishing with the running article on the drive. i know it so so easy to say but maybe one day soon i may just think about swapping mine out. my fave u tube vid!

  • @rgeneration . no got 4 speed dk box with rjes input shaft good for 275 -300 bhp
