  • Using a USGI web sling. Cotton, not the nylon. The cotton gets a little grip to it. Cheap. Even the worn ones work well.

  • Looks like alot of fun! Are there any of these vintage rifle matches held in Texas?

  • TSRA usually shoots a big vintage match in October at the Temple Gun Club, Temple, Tx. Lots of fun. I've got a couple of videos from it on here.

  • By the way....I'm sorry to keep bugging you...What size are those targets at 200 yards? What can of grouping are you getting at that distance? I know he keeps saying "10 ring" and "9 ring" but how big are those rings?

  • Standard 200 yard bullseye target center on a 6X6 backing. The X ring is 3 inches. The 10 ring is 7 inches and the 9 ring is 13 inches. The 9, 10 and X ring are in black. Outside the aiming black are the 8,7,6,5 rings.

  • That impressive accuracy for iron sights...Especially for a mil-surp. You I even hate to call the K31 a surplus gun because they are just such high quality.

Is the x ring worth any extra points above the 10 possible?

Can you print out these targets somewhere or do you have to purchase them?

Sorry for the dumb questions I just want to start practising!

  • Champions Choice and Champions Shooters Supply both stock the targets, even the 100 yard reduced versions. The X ring is worth 10 points, but is the tie breaker. An X beats a 10. The Vintage match we were shooting was a 30 shot match with five sighting shots. 300 points perfect score.

  • Nice shooting. What type of sling are you using?

    Thanks!

  • Very nice shooting! I love the k31!

    Greets from Switzerland ;)

  • Just wondering if that was Vickie Gaddie spotting next to you. NRA did a profile on her and her sister for the NRA blog. Good video congrats on the medal.

  • VERY impressive, i love my K31! the only thing that lets its accuracy down is me! Its a shame that the gp11 cases are boxer primed, because they are wonderful.

  • whats the longest distance you shoot ur vintage comps at in the states ?

  • That is some fine shootin', fer sure!

I will have to check out the TSRA shooting matches one of these days.

  • Thank you, I'll be sure to make it to the next one!
