This was from an old video courtesy of "Vinylrecordsneverdie" since he decided to remove it. If you haven't seen his demonstration of his GE Automatic series, here it is once again with narration. The camera he was using is a cheap camcorder and the video quality isn't the best.
This video is for "TheFlicker98" if you love the GE Wildcat. Plus it's has a Glenn Miller song which is one of me and "TheFlicker98's" favorite big band artist. The GE Automatic portable Hi-Fi record player also has the same record changer than "TheFlicker98's" GE Wildcat because the deck is white, but it does have the same tonearm as both of these record players except it has a flipover stylus instead of that LP stylus. The flipover stylus can play 33 and 45 which an "LP" needle, and when you play a 78, it will flip over to a 78 needle for the best sound possible.
The GE Wildcat does have an LP diamond stylus, but it will play 33 and 45 and it will not play a 78 on this one, the GE Automatic plays 78 with a right needle for 78. Playing 78's with an LP needle doesn't track properly due to some hissing in the background. I played 78's with my GE Wildcat and it would not sound the best, and so does "TheFlicker98".
I hope "TheFlicker98" is looking for a GE Automatic series someday to play 78's with the right needle, but don't play them on a GE Wildcat.
If you have any suggestions about this record player, maybe "TheFlicker98" will post a video response. Enjoy!

Excellent tune.. I consider "Now I Need You" by Donna Summer one of her best tracks ever made - way ahead of its time for 1977.

I just got one exactly like this. My big problem - I wanna play my 45's,but it won't play 'em past maybe the first 5 to 10 seconds.

Hi. i have this same record player but it doesn't have the same changer and it isn't that orangey color on the base. Is that not original?

Hi. My guess is that the warp-amplitude at first song, outer edge of the record, was just too much for that cartridge to track.
