Ave Maria by Celine Dion

The Ave Maria was composed in about 1825 by Franz Schubert (1797-1828) when he was twenty-eight years old and filled with devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. It was written for voice and piano and first Published in 1826 as Op 52 no 6. The words most commonly used with Schubert's music are not the words that the composer originally set to music.

I'm Muslim and when I heard this song I start to cry.Celine have beautiful voice,a lot of emotions.I can't describe how I feel when I listen this song.Maybe someone will hates me after this comment,but I really don't care.I just enjoy in beautiful music.

Hi Israelite 1: Agreed. Her voice so regularly becomes metallic, as it does here, when singing English. Her songs in French are considerably better as a rule. This rendition started off well, too.

I used never to listen to her at all, but for a few years now, I've seen her on French TV and like what I've seen.

This song is much better sung in Latin or German. There are some marvellous performances on YouTube.
