Version 2.0 made a lot of changes to the first vid and made it look nicer too.

  • @Turk3yAndGravy Or you aren't good to execute those commands in repetition like the player in the video. Also get over edge hogging, it's how we play.

You play your way, we play ours.

    This is actually completely incorrect.

Brawl is much less responsive than melee, examples include:

Shields are not registered unless a shield button is pushed down all the way

The c-stick needs to be in a completely neutral position before you can use it to smash

Also, it sounds like you're saying:

"One shouldn't be required to learn to play a game effectively in order to be good"

You wanna mash buttons all day and win?

Melee is not for you, go play a shitty game.

  • @TheMightyJoe1987 Not all, there are unblanaced characters, as there are in all fighting games. However, while there are some matchups that are incredibly in one characters favour, it doesnt make the game unbalanced. Look at Taj, plays Mewtwo, who in the PAL tierlists(PAL being the most balanced and up-to-date version of Melee) is ranked 3rd from the bottom. Jus' pointin' that out.

  • @TheMightyJoe1987 That's why PAL version. A lot of balancing went into it, and infinite chaingrabs are down to really bad players now.

  • @hoordeyah Marvel 2...

MvC2? Just so I can get this straight. YOu're saying that MvC2 requires more skill than melee? And you aren't on drugs, you say?

Next time, mention a fighter that actually does require a ton of skill, like KoF, though I would still class Melee as being more difficult.

  • @Aarownd Blazblue, King of Fighters, Tekken, Soul Caliber 5, Dead or Alive. I'll grant you that Guilty gear is good, but Street Fighter isn't. It's spammy, boring, predictable and easy.

ANd claiming this game is all execution shows you actually haven't played it at a competitive level. Melee is a about Mind-games, you've got to predict, trick and confuse your opponent to win. Something you can't do with SF4, tricks being slightly offsetting a hadouken, and predictions being that they'll hit

  • @Aarownd "and go buy Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition"

You imply that fighting games happen online. Boy, the lag in online means that if you're doing that, you aren't a serious fighter player. You also recommend Street Fighter 4, the shittest fighting game this generation.

  • @hockeyfan145 That's a pretty cock-sure response. I think you mean YOU don't regard it as a fighting game. Which is often the case in players who haven't got to try it at a competitive level. I think I've already proven that I play most fighter games, and I know a lot of the community. Very few of them regard Melee as inferior, when they see what is actually required to play.

The way I see it, you're playing Advance Wars, then calling Starcraft players scrubs. Correct me if I'm wrong in that...

  • @hockeyfan145 The fact that you included MvC3 here made me LOL. I thought you didn't play party games?

  • @hoordeyah Average margin for error in Melee = 2-10 frames.

Average margin for error in Blazblue = 15-25 frames

Average error for margin in Street Fighter 4 = 30-45 frames

Average margin for error in King of Fighters = 10-20 frames

Shall I continue, or are you fine with being JRR Tolkien's Lord of the Told?
