Now available to watch on DVD this is a beautiful and powerful 28 minute film on the life of one of the 40 martyrs of england and wales saint anne line. she was a young widow who bravely dedicated her life to running safe houses for the hunted catholic priests in elizabethan england. for this 'crime' she was hanged at tyburn gallows by law under queen elizabeth I and died a martyr for the catholic faith in england. William Shakespeare penned his poem 'The Phoenix and the Turtle' after the death of Saint Anne Line, which is believed to commemorate Saint Anne Line and her husband Roger Line. Indeed, her story is tragic, moving and dramatic, set in Elizabethan England and leading up to a tense turn of events that saw Anne Line destined to become one of the Forty Martyrs of England and Wales and a famous historical woman. In this new film from Mary's Dowry Productions, Saint Anne Line tells her own story over footage that portrays key events of her life and death, with Sacred Art and historical imagery. Encounter the Faith of a young English Elizabethan woman whose great courage and witness became a powerful part of the history of England.
