Just reminds me how cool it was in the 70's. influential band and everyone who is striving to play good music should listen to Tony TS McPhee and the stuff he made with the Groundhogs

@JakeANowhereMan when you listen to the groundhogs, you often get that feeling of "sounds a lot like", and then you realize: the other stuff sounds a bit like the groundhogs. very influential band over a long time.

i remember when i was about 14, in a friends house after school, in his tiny bedroom, he had a cheap yet cheerful "Alba" record player, but he also had dragged his Parents big heavy oak "stereogram", you know, the ones that had a top on them that lifted up, (it left welts in the Axminster carpet) the record player and album holders inside....well, long story short, we shook the bones of that stereo till the speakers bust......all thanks to Solid and Thank Christ For The Bomb!.

Sounds alot like the main theme from the warriors movie 1979 by barry de verszon and joe walsh..
Clive Brooks was the drummer on this track but Ken Pustelnik is in the picture.

The Groundhogs are an iconic blues and progressive rock band characterised by improvised screaming guitar solos...
