Shot on the Red Scarlet X with Canon Al mount. Mostly on the Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8, but also in the video are the Canon 24mm f/1.4L, 35mm f/14L, 50mm f/1.2L and 85mm f/1.2L.

Graded entirely in RedCineX Pro edited in Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5

Be sure to select "Original" on the video resolution settings to watch at 4k.

This is actually one of my favorite locations to photograph. If you'd like to see more images from there:

The music track is "Chase the Dragon" off of my first album DIN from 2008. Which is currently free to download at http://www.phfx.com

  • @neilhartop1979 compression artifacts more likely

  • @typaxa Scarlet-X is not 4 stops more latitude than film. Film still has more latitude and better highlight handling. You're thinking of HDR mode, which is not useful in every shot and comes with its own set of drawbacks (try doing HDR with fast movement at 24fps). In native mode it's around 13.5 stops and both film the the Alexa have superior native dynamic range and highlight handling. Looks close enough to film though, but HDR is not always going to work well for every shot.

  • why is the 360 panning so jerky?

  • is that a bit of moire I see at 2:06?!

  • Dont you wish that sensor was a CCD?

  • My fingers are getting closer and closer to this camera. :^)

  • @blaharator Yeah! That's what I must have been thinking of.

  • @hunkashoo operation firestorm maybe?
