Thought I'd post this clip from one of Nazimova's talkies, given it's not the best film in the world, but for Nazimova fans it's a real treat to hear her voice. Enjoy!

  • It's so sad she didn't act more in talkies. She had a lovely voice. She is also one of my most favorite actressess!!! : )

  • This is wonderful. Nazimova still looks amazing and her voice is beautiful. She should have been as big in talkies as she was in silent films. Thanks for posting!

  • @DrMabuseDerSpieler she was mainly an stage actress

  • I just finished rereading her biography. Wish she'd made more talkies! I couldn't even hear a Russian accent!

  • @DrMabuseDerSpieler The one on the left is Alla Nazimova wow why is she so old

  • Dear Dr. Mabuse Der Spieler, Thank you for posting this delightful interlude for we, all viewers. . Could you tell me which or the two actors in this clip is called Nazimova? please. . I had been looking for some other work of Dame Judith Anderson, and I suspect that she is here in the clip you provided; is Nazimova the other person? . Any information would be gladly welcomed. . Cheers. from, del-boy.
  • Emily... I'm completely falling in looove with Alla Nazimova's acting and the lady herself. I saw "Escape" (1944) last week - stunning performance, stunning! Oh how I wish I was around to see her perform on the stage... or even to have seen 1921 Salomé back then...

  • she really doesnt stand up to angelina jolie tbh
