This is such a great song, It's mostly blues derivated but has a great arrangement to it.

Uh actually the Grateful Dead was playing this song BEFORE the Ace album came out. The first One More Satuday Night performance was on October 19,1971 (on a Tuesday no less) with five other new songs (Jack Straw,Comes A Time,Mexicali Blues,Tennesse Jed,and Ramble On Rose). Not to mention that that was Keith Godchaux's first Grateful Dead show.

10 years later Bobby sang this song on a Halloween Dead show, but it was called "One More 'Halloween' Night"...

I don't always fully appreciate Donna's performances, but I like this one.

What song was it in this move where the pyro guy set off some big explosion that scared the hell out of Phil and you see the camera on him and he's craking up ? Sugar Mag ?

Ah, they're so awesome....
I love looking at these old Winterland tapes. Some of the best shows ever staged. A A big part of my life.

Turn on channel 6 the president comes on the news says "I get no satisfaction, that's why I sing the blues". His wife says "don't get crazy, Lord you know just what to do, crank up that old victrola, pull out your rockin' shoes, uh huh. If that's not one of the best lyrics in rock n roll, I don't know what is.
