am not a doctor or therapist and to the best of my knowledge nothing like this is being used in any physical therapy. Consult your therapist and do not even consider self therapy if you value the quality of your future use of whatever our medical situation may be.
Watch part one to get up to speed. The warm rocks are really rattling and feel excellent. I keep my hand relaxed and push, pull, rock, in ways I'm allowed. For now I am not supposed to grab and squeeze anything. I can make a relaxed fist and push into the rocksand then go in with my palm open against the "traffic" so they force my hand flat. My scars are on the bottom and side of the middle and bottom and end of the amputated index.
If you do this and have one good hand be sure to "test" with it. You could use something less dense like un-soaked/ un-cooked (obviously) beans for example.

  • I am 7 weeks into my hand surgery things are going ok. Hope your hand is working out for you.

  • he scar tissue is a constant battle for at least a year.

Sorry I did not see that first post until now man. Yes, I move my hands and exercise them in the rocks. Is your therapist letting you do active gripping motions yet?

  • genius idea

  • lucky idea ;) but it seems to be doing the trick. My therapist is impressed with the results so far.

  • latest update is good. Since this is my first experience with the neccesity of needing therapy I still don't have much to go by.

But it still seems to be really good at this point.

  • Gripping in about five days. hard to beleve what this will take to get it back. finger tips seem to be the least strong. Keep up the fight.

  • How long after surgery did you start using this? Lost my pinkie middle finger is good and had tendon repair in the other two fingers. It happened on a table saw. using my other hand to work the ingured hand. any info would help. looks cool. my hand gets pretty stiff. do you let the rocks do the work or do you move you fingers? Two weeks out of surgury.

    Thanks.
