  • Thanks a ton for this vid, My x305 Q725 overheats all the time now just recently Gpu stoped working altogether, took it to a repair shop and told me the gpu unsoldered itself from the main board due to heat!!

Its still the same even after being repaired and just hasent solved anything gpu works fine but it will happen again due to mass overheating.

  • @Furikuri74 Not a problem Furikuri74

What it sounds like to me is maybe your Fans for the video card are bad! they are a common problem and go bad quite often on these laptops you can get a replacement on Ebay don't cost that much. & make certain to blow laptop out often with canned air will save you a lot of money and hassle, I also recommend a high end cooler: I like tigerdirects Thermaltake Massive23 ST Notebook Cooler $27 3yr warranty more of a budget quick fix but will do the job great.

  • @isuruar23That's not true . My toshiba never overheats.Every notebook company has certain models that aren't good at some point.

  • @isuruar23 its a thinkpad t61 from 2008.

  • @TheNephew31 - Maybe you have one which is 100 years old or is either second or third hand! Or either you dont have an AC in the room!

  • @isuruar23 i have a lenovo that runs at around 70 C at idle

  • TOSHIBA SUCKS!!! They overheat all the time!! BUY LENOVO!! they r the best!

  • Great video. I took apart mine (I figured it out on my own) a few weeks back just to clear out the dust. My idle temperature before cleaning was about 40C so I didn't really have a heating issue. Post cleaning it idles at about 37C. Will go ahead and buy the cooler pad, I've been looking for one for ages, thanks for the heads up. I've been using mine for about 2 years now and I've only taken it apart once. Love my Qosmio :)

  • Great video, but I still cannot find the CMOS battery. I have to pull it because there is a BIOS password on this customer's PC. Do you guys know where it is?

    Thanks for the help.

  • thanks for the videos i had same problem on my x305-q701

first i am gonna reapplie thermal paste to the GPU under the heatsink to fix it

if problem still continue i am gonna buy a notebook cooler
