The 2002 documentary about three taxi drivers on the road to the Beijing Olympic Games. Official selection at the Detroit, Florida, and Seoul documentary film fesitvals, as well as IDFA Docs For Sale, Austin Asian Film Festival, and the Real Life on Film Festival (Australia). Featuring indie rock from Beijing bands such as Sand (沙子), the film higlights the struggles of Beijing cab drivers dealing with the pressures of life, work, and the Olympic Games decision. One is a retired taxi driver, pessimistic that any good change will come, one is a mother struggling in a male dominated industry, the last is an optimistic, cheerful driver who sees the Olympics as a real chance for change. This film was written and directed by Sam Voutas, produced by Melanie Ansley, and is distributed by BuzzTaxi, Toronto.
