A high-power version of the common 555-based flyback transformer driver circuit. The MOSFET used is a STW18NB40. Input voltage is 30.1 V at 4 A. The flyback output is tremendous; I actually burnt up the flyback shortly after recording this video.
@a380rockerfan i have a very small flyback and am using the primary on it. i can run it for hours without any problems, and i am not using any IC or Transistor.
Wicked arc's there mate ;-)

Burnt the flyback out? Use a bigger one; more robust and more power :-)
