Eclipse GT vs Audi TT from 40MPH, SRT4 canmera car joins in

Another vid of the Eclipse verse the TT, but this time the 13 second SRT4 that the camera guy is riding in joins the fun, and beats me :(.

what mods did the srt4 have??

Going from memory he had 3" turbo back w/O2 housing, Mopar intake, Mopar STG 1 ECU, an aftemarket fuel rail, fuel return line, rising rate FPR, bigger throtle body, Upgraded I/C and piping (not sure what kind), and tuned with an APexi SAFC-2. So really not to much done, he was a bit over 300WHP. I can't remember how much though.

That Eclipse is the GT V6. When that video was taken the car only had an axel back exhaust installed, so it was pretty much stock.

lol I used to own an srt-4 as a matter of fact.... till my divorce..... but for now i'll drive my lonely chev pick me up truck. Never done me wrong. Not bashing eclipse's any ways.... really just saying they are way over bought up here man... there every where..... and i'm not lying....

Yeah I know what you mean, I liked them for a long time till the fast and the furious came out. Then I took an Eclipse hiatus because of all the ricer fags with GS's equipped with fart cans. But there aren't to many around VA and the 4th gen rekindled my love affair (I/H/E made low 13's on the car in the video). But I feel your pain, I'm driving a Ranger till I finish my divorce.

@Cloudstrife1188 yeah this is true, but even with these, idk what that particular srt4 was running, but I roll with some guys that run about 400whp in srt4s and cobalts SS's, and theyll probably still leave me when I get my headers and retune... just saying. I LOVE my car, and my top end is close to a stock cobalt SS, but its a FAT car, so even with ~300 wheel (bolt ons+good tune) these guys will leave me all day, with 800 lbs less, and another 100hp. so don't go all crazy on them

Sure the srt4 is fast but they are ugly cars and with a stage 3 supercharger kit from ripmods the eclipse will rape

This is a completely diffrent case man. QM times and highway pulls are completely different. The SRT shines top end. Thats why the 4 cylinder is killing the V6 on top end. Lol sure in the QM it would but on a highway pull it wouldn't.

@scoobyfan2009 Your talking about the moddified STR4? The one that runs 13s Vs a stock GT with low high 13s? Oh, damn i didnt see that. Throw in an intake, and some headers to that GT and it will SMOKE the STR4. I mean, we are talking simple mods right? I just gave you rwo that will bolt on 60WHP.

Other than Saturn Dodge would probably be the closest American car to being Japanese. Saturn is one of the better made American cars. Too bad they aren't going to be made ne more. For the longest time the SRT4's were the fastest car you could buy for under 20grand new.

Well if you listen you can hear the SRT4 not climbing RPM's until the Eclipse was almost beside him. The Eclipse still got pulled on for more than 4 car lengths so it doesn't matter if if he had those 2 car lengths that your talking about.
