Not an Obama fan by any means, but the treatment of the Nashiri case here is deceptive. Though the charges were temporarily dropped, Nashiri will likely remain in US custody for the rest of his life, and the nature of the dismissal stated that at any time proceedings may be resumed. The whole thing was done because of legitimate concerns with the effectiveness of military commissions which usually result in plea bargains and light sentencing. Oh, and the charges were reinstated in April 2011.

I have a neice in the guard and a nephew that wants to join the air force both were platoon leaders in the rotc, and had many awards. I love the kids but I fully beleive they have been brainwashed. @HobbsO I could find nothing online saying al-Nashiri produced an American birth certificate. I did find several sources saying he was a Saudi citizen though. My original statement stands: he has no rights except in the fevered minds of liberals and Ron Paul worshippers who think that American civil liberties extend to the entire human race in all times and all places.

@ThePappaClan He's not a citizen and is an non-uniformed combatant who has ZERO rights under the laws of land warfare. He could be shot arbitrarily and it would be entirely legal.
