The horse at 1:49 was literally all skin and bones. I just hate some people you know. >:(

As long as there are people who consider horses (and other animals) to be a disposable plaything, a toy, anything BUT a lifelong commitment, there will be those who will neglect or dispose of their animals at auction, not knowing or caring if a kill buyer is going to be the one who buys them. How can you put that sense of respect and lifelong commitment to the care of a horse into someone who lacks thas sensibility? When I take on an animal, it is for life.

well i think animal cruelty is bad but ether way. people will still eat em for hunt them for sport. we may stop it in the US but not in china. its a way of life for them

The killing of animals has been justified on the grounds that meat consumption is necessary for survival, we are now learning that it is possible to be healthy and strong while following a meat-free diet. What was once deemed “necessary” is not, and in fact, innumerable recent studies have shown that a meat-based diet is unhealthy as well as one of the primary causes of devastation to our planet.
If it's not ‘necessary’ killing, then how can we justify it?

@kbrharley69 or humanly putting the old, sick, and crippled horse down instead of trying to make money off their misery for a buck. I will pay the cost of helping my life long friend pass to a better place when that time comes rather than live with the thought that I sent my beloved horse to slaughter where they will either be shot multiple times with a .22 or shot with a capture bolt gun and skinned alive. For you see they are not just my horses they are my parteners and friends

@XxGiveMeMalicexX you are right there I went to an auction once and the meat buyers were buying anything that can walk they did not care what the body score was as long as it can walk they will take it.

this is so true when we bought my gelding he was at an action and he was starved and beaten and if we didnt by him then he was going to be on a slaughter truck.......

Slaughter is not a good thing in our eyes and im sure the people who actually do the slaughter hate there job as much as we hate thr job, I have 6 horses of my own and I would be heart broken if I found out they got sent to slaughter because some of the people who give these horses to the slaughter are only in it for the money, keep in mind I did say only some... and in my eyes I do beleive they should stop it but not all horses that are sent to slaughter are alive. Learn the facts!
Who ever made this video did a great job! Because you are so great at covering up the truth its not even funny first off why would you kill a starved horse? You wouldnt because the fuel costs more to get them there then they are worth, and the thin paint in your video has a foal layig beside her if you look you can see her i will bet you she was brought in there by a backyard owner probably like yourself and was in that shape then not from a killer. killers do feed and water their horses so they

@johny2891 Thanks for telling me I did a good job on the video...after that I disagree with you. These starving horses are killed because they were abused, and often times after they were rescued or even before then, they are taken to auction to be sold. Many people don't want to invest in a horse that needs a lot of care so the killer buyer will take them. Horse meat is horse meat, regardles of how little or much their is.

Again, necessary evil. The USA is already overpopulated with unwanted horses. Guess we'll just let them run free and die of starvation, so much better, right? (Yes, this is coming from a horse owner)

no, letting them run free isnt necessarily the answer. There are rescue farms out there dedicated to saving horses from slaughter. And its not why they do it, its how the do it.

i almost starting crying!! i can't believe someone would do that to a innocent animal!! i'm starting to work at a volunteer barn where they rescue horses from slaughter. at least some people actually care to save them!
