I love fort gilkicker.returning to nature now,it's a widlife haven.Thank christ the stupid gosport council failed to sell it off for 'developement',that would have been a tragedy for nature lovers and those idiots on the golf course !
The fort's haunted as well,I jog past there at night and it's very spooky.I met a night watchman there once who had just fineshed his shift, he hears things ! spooky !!

Sorry bowmaker11, the fort is currrently being developed as apartments, the only viable use for the fort that will preserve it for future generations. When complete there will be greater public access than now and enhanced habitats for wildlife.
