Hello, yes many times. Japanes make it difficult. Easiest way is to understand word for word and not the complete sentense. For instance. Shuto Yoko Ganmen Uchi. Shuto for knife hand, Yoko for side, Ganmen for face and uchi is hit or from inside out(for the blocking). Not only by hearing, repeat after the instructor inside your head.
In Korea I had to learn many words in Korean too. very hard too. Keep training and with patience..
