If you mean asexual reproduction, they've always been against genetic engineering and the like. Somehow, clones and people made through genetic engineering wouldn't have souls, although I have no idea how any of them came to that conclusion, given that such technologies aren't mentioned in the Bible. That was one of the reasons I opposed mind-body dualism when I was a Christian.

@biznor3 I don't think they ARE strawmen. Given everything I've seen of the religious, sex and the human body are sinful, dirty, filthy; to them, anything to do with either is to be avoided as much as possible, and to be apologized for just as often.

What's befuddling to ME is how you think it's otherwise, given what they say and do, what their religion says about non-procreative sex. It all fits together to paint the picture I describe in the video. How do you NOT see it? *raised eyebrow*

@BionicDance It's befuddling that you count this as a point in favor of your position when the whole point of my last comment was that it refuted some of the claims made in your vid. Yes, you are right that conservatives generally oppose sex not intended to make babies, but you are dead wrong when you say that they are "terrified of their bodies" and "would jump at the chance to procreate without getting naked." These statements are patent straw-men.

@biznor3 Why do you think he has nine kids? Cuz he can't have sex with birth control. Why can't he have sex with birth control? Because that would allow him to have it purely for pleasure.

Work it out for yourself...the religious use sex as a weapon, primarily as a lever of guilt.

@BionicDance I do not agree at all with Catholic sexual morality, I am merely stating that you are burning strawmen. If it's stupid and annoying when theists do it how can we excuse ourselves for doing the same thing? Considering the fact that Catholics have marital sex all the time (Justice Scalia, for example, has 9 kids), I find your assertion that they are uncomfortable with sex itself highly irrational. I love your vids, but please stop misrepresenting your opponents.
