I've called myself a Mega Man fan for years. And yet I've only ever completed...4 Mega Man titles out of MM1~9 and MM&Bass. Out of every game with "Mega Man" in its title...7. 8 if you include Mega Man Zero for whatever reason. 9 if you include The Power Battles (doesn't seem very necessary, though). In a fitting display of pride, randomosity, and sheer foolishness, the Randomite King delves into his claimed favorite (or at least contender for the spot) game in the Mega Man classic series. (That is, the 6 NES games as well as MM7 and 8.) Only epic failure can ensue from here...because as much as the king hates to admit it, unless it's called Mega Man 7 or is part of the X series, he has NO skill in it whatsoever! Shh... Let's watch.

  • Gaming prowess of a 7 year old...?

    Uhh.... If I spelt that right, your WRONG. I'd fail so freakin' hard at that. I tried... I think Megaman 2 on an Emu, on Metalman or whatever game (I'm horrible with matching bosses with games), I used about 2 continues before I even got to the boss. Proves I fail harder.

  • Reference and slight sarcasm, don't worry. ^_^;

  • Star Ocean music fuck yeah! Awesome start to the LP!

  • Hell yes! My NES, SNES, and GB Let's Play My Ways each have an intro using a different Star Ocean 3 track. If I get into Genesis games and other consoles eventually, I'll expand into the SO2 soundtrack, considering in the time since starting my LPMW series, I finally got to play SO2 and was hooked, heh.

  • Hey, that's more original Mega Man games than I've been able to beat (which is none of them). When you grow up playing the X and Zero series, it's hard to get used to the originals.

    "Dash, dang you! Wait, the dash requires you to hit TWO buttons? And there's no wall kick? And the first three games have no charge shot? WHAT IS THIS!?!?"

  • The no-charge deal in MM1~3 actually threw me as well, given I hadn't seen them in like, a decade or so by the time I got into emulation. @_@ Ain't it great? *cries*

  • "Real men don't use Rush... that much." Hell yeah! "Okay, real men use Rush sometimes." Uhh... yeah, what he said. I like to add a little twist to Toadman, I let him do a last request dance before I kill him. X3

    I know these robot masters have weaknesses, but for some reason with this being the first Megaman game with charge shots, I never felt a need to use weapons. The exception to this are the breakable walls and Dr. Wily (though I think with his WM#4, you're kinda forced to use it.)

  • I'd bet I'd die earlier in MM5 than you did in MM4. XD

  • xDDD You're not alone, O Randomite King. I've been there myself when I was younger.

  • I agree, looking back it seems better as Rock Man.

  • Mr. toad legs is way-too easy!
