It has been nearly two years since ethnic violence rocked the country in the aftermath of 2007s disputed elections. Numerous commissions have been established, the ICC has gotten involved and politicians are still debating the merits of a local tribunal. However, how far along is Kenya in the healing and reconciliation process? In this first of a two-part series, Cynthia Vukets looks at the current state of negative ethnicity.
@wanzueni their's no point of discussing anything with the likes of wanzueni . he just sounds like his name and uneducated thats why he can't interact with educated people.just shut up if you have nothing constructive to say. Bye

@wanzueni I have a problem2 with people who expect others to vote their way just because they think it's politically correct thing to do. What says one votes ur way? 'learned' or not? Yu don't hear Obama whining over 50 Million who voted Mcain day in day out? or White fuming over Black/Spanish voting their way..its democracy! Stolen election? Go to court n prove it!

@siasabora: School days were good when friends were friends. Bad politics and these young politicians who believe no one can lead Kenya apart from their clique or family need to drown soon.

we young people are above tribe and so we can work hard in the grassroots there in Mathare and other areas and try to bring various communities together. Forget the politicians, they have nothing new to offer us apart from crap divisive politics. Good to see you Mr Tuju, Kenya needs you,

If you wait for these politicians to preach peace you will have to wait 22nd century. Fueling hate is order of day which now is resulting to mass exodus, neighbouring country are benefitting from Kenya turmoil welcoming investors while our cities are slowly dying in death beds. These young politicians helped bring ethnicity to its peak and they are from kanu old school that means more oppression in future. Does one tv channel kbc ring a bell?

Blame politicians...they're the scum of the earth! We were in school with other tribes, had a good time...grew hair and become adults then the tribal devil reared his ugly head - Moi!
