@dje22able If you think that you don't know anything about Johnny. He was personal friends with my Grandfather, and my father. My dad used to swim on his docks behind his house in Hendersonville, TN. And knowing what I know about JC, which is a lot more then you do. I can tell you this. He would have loved the this.

I can see Johnny up in heaven smilin' and swayin in approval to this version. Also says a lot about Kevin's character in that he changed the line "Shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die". Marty Stuart said Keb Mo indicated he could not sing the song with that line.....
