first day back doing any wu shu like this since my injury..basic wu shu kicks for use in dynamic stretching - done fairly slowly here so you can see the shape.

A bit rusty, will redo them when I am better :)

  • can i jst ask, how tall are you because i have started doing the head to toe stretch and have heard if you are to tall youll never be able to do it.

    i am about 5'9 and can get my elbow to touck my flexed ankle in the head to toe stretch

  • You show disrespect to your master ny being a self-centred, egoistic person who thinks he is the centre.

    There are no best or right ways to do it, there are various ones. You, maybe train the southern fist of Shaolin style, which incorporates these stretching but masters from different Wushu styles have different ways to stretch so it all in irrelevant. And it all may vary.

  • post a video of yourself then, cause i've been doing wushu for a long time and i can say that his basics are pretty damn good.

  • @WushuTrainee at least he put a video to help us on our kicks. cuz the splits and more are not getting some results for now

  • @catkid04 It's about the body's proportions. In my case my legs are longer then my upper body. So i can't do the "head to toe" stretch. My head "reaches" only to the middle of my shin. ;-)

  • @mcgrath111 these kick arnt about flexibility at all, its about how strong you are in you leg, the muscel that pulls the leg upward

  • @denisbarinovx it is the basic kicks, but you never kick this high in the beginning, i cant reach this high, i "only" reach a little higher then my hip, but in training you do alot of streching, so your able to do it after some time ^^

  • @catkid04 i doubt hight has anything to do with the toe to head kick, maby your toe will go over your head, but if your able to lift you foot that high, your supose to slap your foot with your hands and puch it back down, that goes for "zheng ti tui" if you like it just keep practising, no reason to give up :D

  • btw how long have you trained wushu?
