Christmas 1996 began like any other. 6-year-old JonBenet Ramsey woke to a morning of childish delight and peace. The next morning one member of the Ramsey household did not wake with the rest. The tiny body that, just hours before was bursting with happiness and excitment as she opened gifts under the Christmas tree, now lay cold and battered in the basement. She would be under that tree one more time, but she would be alone. Since her death , the person she was has been forgotten and been replaced by someone who was only a small fragment of her life.

i think that the murderer was a little girl's dad who his girl lost a pageant because of jonbenet so she wanted her father to kill her. just my opinion.

@GESSO217 For the last time (I've said this a thousand times) she wasn't murdered by some random pedophile that saw her at a pageant! Her being in pageants had nothing to do with her killing. If you do your research, then you'll see that the people who killed JonBenet didn't mention anything about her being in pageants (Read the ransom note). Furthermore, anyone who thinks pageants should be outlawed is just plain stupid. There are so many girls all over the US and Canada who LOVE pageants.

@missAlessa2009 little 6 yo wih makeup is absurd,,thats sexifying her up no matter how you look at it,,,do little girls walk around with makup on at 6 ..no ..at 16 yes...,,if you get pagants where its natural,,you still have sleaze bags in the wings,,so i say fine if all venues are strikly kept between the families and not for public vieweing and pics not taken and distrubted exploiting these chldren whether you think u are or not
